The 2015 "All About Brides" Bridal show was my second bridal expo. Just like last year, there was a lot of planning involved; What am I going to give away this year? How will I "sell" my service? How should I design my booth to entice brides to come by? Should I display a few images, or all of my images? etc etc etc.
Because of my name change from JDRiggan Photography to Plum Pretty Photography, everything for this expo had to be completely re-designed to match my brand. I obviously knew that I would be using purple and gold for my booth, but that meant that everything from my brochures & business cards, to the frames and decor had to be completely different from last years display. In just one years time, I personally felt like my work had improved tremendously since the previous years show, therefore updated prints was a MUST!
Aside from updating my display images, the most important things for me in designing my booth display was making sure that my space was warm, cozy, and inviting.
The biggest thing that we did differently this year was having a back wall built for displaying my logo and a few canvas prints. I LOVE the way the wall turned out. A special thanks to Geoff & Vicki Neely for building, painting, transporting & assembling this wall for me. I appreciate it SO much!!
This year, I added a small round table to display my wedding albums, along with two cozy chairs so that my brides would have a place to get comfortable while looking through my albums..
Aren't those Plum Pretty Cups adorable?!?
I also hosted 3 pretty awesome giveaways for all attendees to sign up for; A FREE $500 gift certificate & 2 FREE engagement sessions. Winners are listed below..
For all brides that came through, I offered up to 25% off on all my wedding packages..
by the way, see that adorable old camera? That was my grandmother's very first camera. She gave that to me years ago before I ever even got into photography... It's one of my most prized possessions :) Even though she has since passed away, I know it would put a smile on her face to know that not only do I still have it, but that I display it proudly!
(Below) I love the way my old window display turned out!!
oh and our studio "mascot," Plumlee the elephant made an appearance at the show this year too. Isn't he cute?!? :)
This year we've partnered up with an amazing hair & makeup artist (Amber Hilton) to offer dual services to both of our clients. It was a lot of fun planning the show together and having our booths side by side. Amber's Selfie booth was a HUGE hit...lot's of fun!
The fashion show that took place during the expo was fun. The models did a great job!
So, all in all the 2015 show was awesome. I gained a huge amount of knowledge & experience, networked with some AMAZING wedding industry vendors, met a lot of sweet brides & couples and had a ton of fun!
Oh! With March being my birthday month, i've decided to celebrate by extending my show rates through April 1st!
Thank you SO much to everyone that helped me with the success of my second show. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know :)
I also want to thank all of the brides that took the time to stop by and talk with me about your big day - you ladies ROCK!
Congratulations to all my drawing winners; I can't wait to work with you!
